[collections-as-data]

Last week the FOCUS team met for an internal workshop on how we collect, store, document, and publish research data - from archival text and through 3D scans of monuments to linked-data graphs. We will aim for a shared framework anchored in open standards, with Wikipedia / Wikidata / Open Street Map ecosystem as the connective tissue between our collections and the wider web. The working principle: keep master data with the institutions that own it, publish metadata openly through trusted public repositories, and make every dataset findable, citable, and AI-ready by design.
